The 2017 BMW M5 to have AWD, reports say

BMW recently announced the new, redesigned 5-Series only a little more than a week ago. But, nevertheless, people really want a new M5, and according to recent reports, we may be getting an AWD M5.

BMW Munich product expert Sven Arens confirmed with Australian Auto blog, Go Auto, during the 5 Series unveiling in Melbourne. But, at the same time, a spokesman from BMW of North America have yet to comment. Reports show that in 2013, BMW M division CEO, Frank van Meel said that an all-wheel drive system was in the works and being considered heavily. Spy photos released by Car And Driver also revealed in 2015 that they were testing an xDrive model of the M5.

BMW competitors such as Audi have been using AWD on their cars since forever, with the Audi RS7 featuring the Quattro system. Recently, Mercedes have also slapped 4Matic on their E63 AMG model coming to America soon. But, like many people, we do hope that BMW will also let us have an RWD sDrive version. Please, BMW, please.
